One&Only's First Resort in the US Brings a New Era of Luxury to Big Sky
One&Only Moonlight Basin will debut its first U.S. resort with the launch of One&Only Moonlight Basin in Big Sky, Montana—introducing a new level of ultra-luxury to one of America's most spectacular mountain destinations. Set on a breathtaking 8,000-acre alpine landscape surrounded by protected wilderness, the resort will include 73 guest rooms and suites, 19 guest cabins, 62 private homes, 8 private estate lots, and six resort buildings. Designed to offer an elevated year-round mountain experience, the property will feature three signature restaurants, a dedicated ski lodge, and the first-ever Chenot Spa in the United States.A gondola will provide direct access between the resort and Big Sky Resort, offering seamless connectivity to world-class skiing. The resort is slated to open in November 2025, setting a new benchmark for refined adventure in the American West.

Gravity Haus Expands to Big Sky
Gravity Haus, a lifestyle hotel and social club, will expand its footprint into Montana with the acquisition and transformation of The River Rock Lodge in Big Sky, slated to open in summer 2025. The move marks the brand's continued expansion into top-tier, year-round mountain destinations across the Western U.S. Centrally located in Big Sky Town Center, the newly reimagined Gravity Haus Big Sky will feature 29 fully renovated guest rooms and a curated collection of amenities, including an on-site restaurant, bar, fitness center, and modern coworking space with hot desks and meeting rooms. The property will also house Terrain Taco, Unravel Coffee, and an engaging lineup of Gravity Haus member experiences, from adventure-driven meetups and networking events to wellness and community-focused programming.

Big Sky Resort is redefining the modern mountain experience with the debut of the Explorer Gondola, set to open for the 2025–26 winter season. This high-speed, 10-person gondola will connect the Mountain Village base area to the new Lone Peak Tram, creating a seamless, top-to-bottom lift experience for skiers and sightseers alike. With enclosed cabins, panoramic windows, and direct access to the new food and après destination at the Explorer top terminal, the gondola is more than just a lift—it's a bold new chapter in guest access, comfort, and design. Whether you're hitting the slopes, enjoying a scenic ride, or heading to a mountaintop meal, the Explorer Gondola delivers a next-level alpine journey in one of North America's most iconic ski destinations.

Big Sky Resort Unveils Lone Peak Tram Lower Terminal
Big Sky Resort unveiled the new Lower Tram Terminal during the 2024-25 season, a key feature in the Lone Peak Tram redevelopment. As part of the resort's visionary Big Sky 2025 plan, this state-of-the-art terminal enhanced the guest experience from the moment they began their journey to the 11,166-foot summit of Lone Mountain. At the bottom terminal of the Lone Peak Tram stood an architectural marvel: a sweeping glass dome that encapsulated nature's artistry. This remarkable structure, composed of over 400 panels of one-inch-thick glass, created a protective canopy over the terminal's base, where visitors began their ascent to Lone Peak. The new Lone Peak Tram debuted in the 2023-24 season.

Big Sky Resort Welcomes the World's Longest Eight-Seat Chairlift: Madison 8
Big Sky Resort welcomed the world's longest eight-seat chairlift with the debut of Madison 8 for the 2024-25 ski season. This new state-of-the-art D-line chairlift replaced the existing Six Shooter lift on the resort's north side. Madison 8 set a global record as the longest eight-seat chairlift in the world, effectively doubling uphill capacity and reducing ride time by 30%. The lift featured heated seats, weather-protective blue bubbles, automatic safety bars, and footrests, ensuring a comfortable and efficient ride.
