Visit Mississippi Launches New Podcast: Mississippi on the Map

Jackson, Miss.  – Visit Mississippi is proud to announce the debut of its new podcast, Mississippi on the Map, launching today with the release of its first episode. Hosted by Mississippi native and country music artist Charlie Worsham, the podcast explores the culture, creativity and community that define the Magnolia State.

With new episodes dropping every other week through October, Mississippi on the Map brings to life the stories and personalities shaping Mississippi's place in American culture. The 12-episode first season features candid conversations with a diverse roster of guests including Academy Award-winning actor Morgan Freeman, country music icons Chris Stapleton and Marty Stuart and civic and cultural leaders from across the state and beyond.

“Our goal with Mississippi on the Map is to tell meaningful stories that inspire pride, curiosity and connection,” said Rochelle Hicks, Director of Visit Mississippi. “From our rich musical legacy to the remarkable individuals making a difference today, this podcast captures what makes Mississippi so special.”

Episodes are available in both video and audio formats via major platforms including Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube. Listeners can also explore content, watch episodes and follow along via the official website, www.msonthemap.com, and social media channels: Facebook, Instagram and X.

In addition to deep-dive interviews, the podcast will feature teaser reels, behind-the-scenes clips and shareable highlights to encourage engagement across digital platforms. Each episode links back to Visit Mississippi's website, further integrating the series into the state's broader tourism and storytelling initiatives.
